World UFO Day 2022: What are UFOs and how the theories surrounding them originated
World UFO Day is marked annually on July 2 to spread awareness about the existence of mysterious Unidentified Flying Objects. These strange objects have been controversial and curious in the minds of many people for decades. However, the existence of UFOs has always been a question mark. World UFO Day aims to encourage people to share their beliefs about UFOs and jointly acknowledge the different theories surrounding these extraterrestrial objects.
The existence of UFOs has not yet been officially accepted by space agencies around the world. Although there are many doubts surrounding the existence of UFOs, a number of incidents have led people to investigate the possibility, including the US Pentagon.
What are UFOs?
UFOs or Unidentified Flying Objects are strange spaceships that do not belong to our planet and cannot be identified or explained. There have been several reported cases of UFO sightings in the sky, however, none have been officially confirmed.
Roswell Incident
That is speak that the Roswell incident of July 1947, which took place in Mexico, first sparked conversations around UFOs. A US Army hot air balloon crashed near Roswell, New Mexico, and quickly became the center of UFOS conspiracy theories. The US Army has refueling speculated by initially saying that they had recovered some debris from a flying saucer. They later clarified that it was just a weather balloon. However, the incident has sparked a series of theories surrounding UFOs by curious people.

In the latest developments on UFOS, two senior US defense intelligence officials testified before the House Intelligence subcommittee shares the knowledge the government has UFO or UAP (Unknown Aerial Phenomenon). Officials have said that 400 reported UAP cases have been acknowledged by the Pentagon. In another advancement, NASA also planning to assemble a UFO to investigate “unidentified aerial phenomena” – commonly known as UFOs.
