Xbox Game Pass has been loaded unexpectedly to start October 2022
Spooky season is upon us, and low October for Xbox Game Pass is bringing mouse kings, HR Giger body horror, and trick or treat on twee to celebrate. Whether you just want to go into the Middle Ages against online strangers in Chivalry 2 or bask in the outstanding beauty of A Plague Tale: RequiemBeautifully depicting war-torn 14th-century France, Microsoft’s Netflix-like subscription service has a lot to offer this month.
This is everything to and from Xbox Game Pass in the coming weeks:
October 4
Chivalry 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
October 6
Medieval dynasty (Xbox Series X/S)
The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (COMPUTER)
The Walking Dead: Part Two (COMPUTER)
October 11
Costume quest (Cloud and Console)
Eville (Console and PC)
October 13
Dyson Sphere Program (COMPUTER)
October 14
Scornful (Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X | S)
October 18
A Plague Tale: Requiem (Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X | S)
Released last year, Chivalry 2 is a first-person multiplayer fighter where players swing, slash and swipe their way to victory on a medieval battlefield. It’s hard, but it’s fun when you let loose and allow yourself to be fun and silly. A perfect addition to the low Game Pass buffet. Scornful. It was delayed a lot and flashpoint for Kickstarter TV seriesbut hopefully it delivers.
A Plague Tale: Requiemon the other hand, is Asobo Studio’s sequel to the disturbing rat infestation in 2019, A Plague Tale: Innocence. Hopefully people get a chance to test that out before it’s dropped from last month’s Game Pass rotation. It’s a moody adventure game that’s not overplayed, and while pray looks like the game’s action build is expected, I hope it’s still grounded. And if you have a PC, Dyson Sphere Program is one of the best space builder of 2021.
G/O Media may receive a commission
Game Pass will also lose some games over the next few weeks, but fortunately, nothing too serious. All of the following have disappeared as of October 15:
- Blood Base (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Echo Generation (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Into the hole (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Ring of Pain (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Black (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- A good life (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Black‘s art style is one of the most prominent in recent memory, and Blood Base is a good enough top-down beat. I’ll check Ring of Pain, which I’ve never heard of before but is a card-based player-like dungeon crawler. All my Steam favorites are tinkling.
Game Pass library ‘yes ebbed and flowing in recent months, but after a dry spell the begin of the year Everything is starting to go well again. Most of the big blockbuster releases of 2022 has been delayed until 2023but at least there are plenty of Microsoft subscription services to prevent drought.
