Conservative social media company Parler on Thursday said its deal to buy Ye had been dropped.
Rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, agreed to purchase the app in October for an undisclosed amount. Ye has repeatedly made public anti-Semitic comments in recent months, and several business partnerships involving the musician have been terminated.
“The company has agreed with Ye to terminate its intent to sell Parler,” the app’s parent company said in a statement to CNBC. “This decision was made in the interests of both parties in mid-November. Parler will continue to pursue future growth opportunities and platform growth for our vibrant community.”
