103 match-related deaths in Maharashtra today, highest since October 6
Mumbai:
Maharashtra saw the steepest increase in daily Covid deaths – 103 patients died in the last 24 hours in the state with the highest total number of cases in the country (76,55,554). The state recorded a positivity rate of 10.32%, well below the national average (15.88%).
With 24,948 new infections, today’s daily increase is slightly higher than yesterday’s (25,425).
In the past 24 hours, the state has recorded 110 cases of Omicron, bringing the total number of patients – affected by the new variant – registered so far to 3,040.
More than 2,660,000 Covid patients in the state are currently recovering with Pune reporting the most active cases (85,629).
