15 best foods for lymphatic drainage

If you know anything about me, you know that I’m totally OBSERVED with the lymphatic system. I always try to reduce the cumbersome, but things became overwhelming after my double jaw surgery.

Either way, your lymphatic system is important because it’s actually your body’s defense against toxins, bacteria, viruses, and other nasty things. Just the thought of all the toxins accumulating in my body? No, thanks. So you can see me massaging my face, neck and lymph nodes with SKINNY HOT HOT MESS ICE ROLLER in the morning, before makeup and at night.

If I learn anything from Lisa Gainsley, lymphatic specialist, which is your lymphatic system is one of the MOST IMPORTANT circulatory systems in your body. A healthy lymphatic drainage system can help you with weight loss, immunity, detoxification, circulation, skin tone and the list goes on. Plus, it doesn’t have to be this complicated, time-consuming thing.

Dry brush is a super effective way to exfoliate, detoxify, & stimulate lymphatic drainage. It helps all the way to pumping and discharging that cell-sized waste out of your system. Not to mention it just feels really damn good.

Lymphatic drainage massage & Dry brushing is essential if you ask me, but don’t forget that nutrition also plays a very important part in the health of your lymphatic system. There are many foods that can improve your lymphatic drainage, cleansing, health and circulation. So, these are the best foods that you can incorporate into your diet as soon as possible to speed up your lymphatic system. Let’s go.

Apricots

Give your lymphatic system a little kick-start by eating some apricots. Apricots are a super rich source of potassium, which is known to activate your lymphatic system and increase circulation through all your lymphatic vessels.

Cranberry. Blueberry. Raspberries. All berries. Berries are great for your lymphatic system as they are full of antioxidants that help break down congestion in and around your nodes. You can eat your own berries, add them in pancakes or oatmeal or smoothie, or make 5 seconds jam. Yum.

Green

My quick fix for a lazy lymphatic system is to add some greens. Vegetables like broccoli, kale, and spinach are full of chlorophyll, which is a super natural cleanser and has properties that stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Adding drops of chlorophyll to your water is also a great way to get all the benefits. Lately I’ve been obsessed with Sakara Life Detox Drops. And you can use code SKINNY to get 20% off your first order. Learn more about all the benefits of chlorophyll here.

♡ Seeds – Pumpkin, Sunflower, etc

Slow digestion Food can slow lymphatic drainage and lead to blocked lymph nodes. But magnesium and healthy fats in pumpkin & sunflower seeds promotes digestion, increasing the rate at which those toxins leave your body. You can eat these seeds as usual or add them to salads, yogurts, cereals, etc.
