Yogibo Calm Antibacterial Weight Blanket for $159: The blanket is actually cool cotton fabric, but the real draw here is Yogibo’s famous cotton and spandex blend that it uses to make the duvet cover. The brand says it’s super soft and it doesn’t lie. It’s stretchy, smooth, and machine washable (the actual blanket isn’t). However, I do find that pet hair really clings to it, which is often the case with softer fabrics. It says it has an antibacterial treatment to keep it “fresher longer”. You can return it within 14 days.
Casper Weighted Blanket for $169-$189: Casper is another popular bedding brand whose blankets are classic cotton, which is cool rather than knitted or plush, which can get hot. About the size of a blanket, it’s thick enough that even the lightest model will give you a comfortable feel, while the heaviest model is like the Human Thunder Jacket. YNM Weighted Knit Blankets for $149–$298: YNM’s knitted blankets are soft and perfectly pleated–softer than both Yaasa and Bearaby. It feels lighter than others I’ve tried, so those who are new to the weighted life may prefer it. Gravity blanket for $250–$300: While weighted blankets were a thing before the Gravity Blanket was announced on Kickstarter in 2017, its success quickly made it the face of the category. WIRED’s Arielle Pardes Writer tried it in 2018 and compared it to being “wrapped in a tortilla toasted like a human burrito.” The gravity blanket has dropped in price since her review, making this thick blanket a great choice if you forever cold. Gravity Travel Blanket for $100: Do you need a blanket on the go? The material is a bit noisy like a sleeping bag, but it can be folded and fits in the included bag. Both Gravity options are returnable within 30 days.
