Nod is an Amazon exclusive sub-brand by Tuft & Needle. We haven’t tested this particular model, although our reviewers are fans of Tuft & Needle. This hybrid has 2 inches of soft foam on top, with an inch of stiffer foam to reduce bounce, a layer of 6-inch coils, a layer of spring coils, and an inch of base foam. Hybrid mattresses like these tend to be our favorite, as they offer the benefits of both traditional foam and midsole.

Unlike pet beds with 90-degree walls (like a sofa arm), this Furhaven bed slopes gently at the ends so your little one doesn’t have to tilt his head to get a good night’s sleep. In our experience, Furhaven beds are well made, with a solid block of activated foam at their core rather than a bunch of shredded foam. This one is the right size for dogs weighing up to 75 pounds.

One of Amazon’s furniture brands for bedding, Pinzon is a brand that far outweighs its weight in quality for money. We have used them for many years. The linens are crisp, smooth, and cool to the touch on hot summer nights.
Chase your dreams on this pillow’s traditional quilted, ruffled side or flip it over to rest your head on the firmer cooling gel. The gel insert is removable so you can toss the rest of the pillow in the washing machine, unlike many gel pillows that have to be hand washed. We’re big fans of the Leesa mattress here in the WIRED review team, and their pillows are made with comparable quality.
As a side sleeper, I tend to prefer foam pillows because they support my neck so I don’t get sore when I wake up in the morning. This pillow is made for side, back and stomach sleepers, so you can comfortably lie on your side and change positions throughout the night.

Homelabs made the best overall pick in my guide to The best dawn alarm not because it is the fanciest or most revolutionary alarm. It was (and still is) my favorite because of its impressive build quality and list of features that match that of competitors that cost several times more. It was just as effective as setting a soothing ‘sunset’ before going to bed as well as waking me up gently in the morning in ‘sunrise’ mode.
It’s not quite the same as a dedicated dawn alarm, but a set of smart bulbs with some easy-to-install custom settings can be a reliable way to get you in bed at night or out of bed. in the morning if you already have lights. Accepts regular sized bulbs. Hue product names can be a bit confusing. “Ambiance” means that you can not only set the color of the light, but also the “temperature” of the white light. That means making it more yellow (warmer) or more blue (cooler). I include some tips on setting up a sunrise and sunset routine with Hue bulbs in my guide The best dawn alarmas well as some of their limitations.
What the Casper Glow Light lacks in the list of features, it makes up for in the intuitive design. Simply turning the Glow or flipping it up controls a basic yet reliable set of functions that make this sunrise/sunset alarm a solid performer. More functions are available in the app.
Complete and oppressive silence can be as bad as noisy neighbors and street noise when you’re trying to get lost. The white noise machine provides a soothing background swishing to help you fall asleep. There are two speeds to change the volume and tone of the noise. This is one of the our favorite white noise machinethanks in part to an internal fan that produces authentic wind noise rather than simply playing an audio file.
If all you need is noise to go to sleep Morphée’s meditation machine is the device you’re after. It looks like a little music box, is fun, and has lots of themed meditations — body scans, breathing, movement, visualization, heart alignment, naps, relaxing music, tones nature bars — eight or 20 minutes in length. The children’s version is also $80 off ($20 off).
