Alfa Romeo’s rear-wheel drive / all-wheel drive siblings, Giulia sedan and Stelvio cross, received another update.
Following an update for 2021 that brings updated infotainment and a redesigned center console, the two Alfas have slightly refreshed exterior styling along with a new digital instrument cluster.
Update Giulia and Stelvio will go to Australian dealers in first half of 2023with local pricing and specifications to be announced closer to launch.
The most obvious change is the new “3 + 3” matrix LED headlights, which replace the old bi-xenon lamps.
The LED daytime running lights give them a three-segment look, tying them together not just with Tonale but also classic Alfas like the SZ Zagato, 159 and Brera.
The headlights also have dynamic indicators and welcome and goodbye animations, and incorporate a redesigned grille. The air intakes have also been refreshed.
At the rear, the LED taillights do not receive a significant change. The graphics are largely the same, although the Giulia’s lamp has a glossy black surround while the Stelvio’s has a transparent finish.
Inside, the Giulia and Stelvio received the same 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as the Tonale despite Alfa Romeo – having said they didn’t want its interior. dominated by the screen – has given its three-model cluster a similar, classic look.
It offers three different layouts: Evolution, Relax, and Legacy.
In at least some markets, the Giulia and Stelvio have an Alfa Connect Service that supports over-the-air updates and allows you to use a smartphone app to control functions such as unlocking and unlocking the vehicle.
Alfa Romeo is tweaking the naming structure across its entire range and, like on the Tonale, the Giulia and Stelvio will be offered in Super, Sprint, Ti and Veloce variants – all familiar nameplates. belonging to Alfisti.
There is a launch version Competizione, based on Giulia and Stelvio Veloce and offered in an exclusive Moon Light matte gray paint finish.

Giulia and Stelvio also offer Non-Fungible Token (NFT) technology, with the NFT generating a certificate in which the vehicle’s lifespan data is recorded.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Giulia or Stelvio, with the current engine range being continued.
Alfa Romeo hasn’t revealed any updates for the hot Quadrifoglio versions of the Giulia or Stelvio, though they may be coming soon.
Currently, Alfa Romeo Australia offers two exclusive Giorgio-based vehicles in Veloce guise with turbochargers 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine manufacturing 206kW power and 400Nm of torque.
Both versions of Quadrifoglio are available, packaged 2.9 liter V6 twin turbo engine manufacturing 375kW power and 600Nm of torque.
Both Giulia models sold here are rear-wheel drive, while both Stelvio models are all-wheel drive.
While the Giulia entered production in 2015 and the Stelvio in 2016, Alfa Romeo said both models still have “a number of years to run” before they are replaced by new models, which offer electric powertrains.
The company has committed to having only EVs by 2027.
