2023 Range Rover Velar reconnaissance
The Range Rover Velar fit a change inspired by the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
The mid-size SUV has been around since 2017 in its current form, so it’s due for a mid-life compact car.
Based on these spy shots, that ingenuity will focus on bringing the car’s lighting details in line with the new Range Rover and smaller Sport.
Beneath the camouflage, it looks like the LED lighting elements from front to back have been smoothed and slimmer.
There’s an interesting ribbon covering the paddings, showing detailed changes that could be part of the update. The Current Velar Not exactly covered with cuts and breaks, but it’s a bit busier than the smooth Rangie and Sport.
The Velar engine range has been updated throughout its life to feature 48V mild hybrid assistance and PHEV has been revealed. It’s unclear what powertrain changes will accompany its mid-life update.
Range Rover sold 569 Velars in Australia in 2021 and 645 in 2020.
So far in 2022 it’s the third slowest selling in the Land Rover line, ahead of the Range Rover (between generations) and Land Rover Discovery.
Jaguar Land Rover has faced the same supply shortage as the rest of the industry, meaning its sales results have not always been an accurate representation of demand for its vehicles.
