Wyze makes low-cost smart home products for people who just need to dip their feet into home automation and we like its light bulb. This one has 16 million color options. Wyze Smart Sockets are also discounted for $7 ($5 off) if you only need one package and not the four linked above.
Amazon also makes pretty solid streaming sticks, if you don’t mind the Amazon Prime push. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and includes a picture-in-picture feature to get your security camera feed as you watch TV. And of course, it’s Alexa-enabled. This 4K Max has 2 gigabytes of memory (4K older had 1.5) and it has 8 gigs of memory.
A new version of HD 8 available for pre-order ($100), but you can save a lot of cash if you stick with this older model.
