$2,500 TERF Prize for Amplification Horse Racing
Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to offer $2,500 to Amplify Horse Racing to be used for educational, mentoring, and career opportunities.
Amplify Horse Racing’s mission is to amplify careers and education in the Thoroughbred industry. They do this by supporting and enhancing existing education and engagement initiatives, and creating and developing new opportunities that lead them into the future. Amplify wants to keep the doors open for everyone to participate, welcoming all backgrounds, organizations, initiatives, equestrian disciplines, and age groups.
Their goal is to create positivity, share knowledge and experiences, and collaborate.
Annise Montplaisir, President & Co-Founder, said, “Amplify Horse Racing is honored to receive the TERF grant and thanks for the support to further advance its mission of advancing education and careers in the Thoroughbred industry. One of our goals since then Amplify’s inception was to develop and launch a mentoring program for young people interested in pursuing a career in the Thoroughbred industry. successfully launched the Amplify Equestrian Mentorship Program, accepting 12 youth from eight different states.We hope this program will grow and positively impact the lives of many young people and young adults. years, in addition to employers in the supporting industry looking for young candidates. Thank you TERF for helping us reach this important milestone.”
In keeping with their mission to support and promote equine education through inclusion and participation, TERF will continue to offer their financial support into 2021.
