3 Ministers offer to back down ahead of cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan

Three Rajasthan ministers have written to Speaker of the National Assembly Sonia Gandhi, offering to give up their posts and work for the party, ahead of the expected cabinet reshuffle in the state.
Those who have offered to quit are Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary, Health and Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma and Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra, Parliamentary Secretary General Ajay Maken told reporters.
“I am pleased to inform you that three promising ministers in our Rajasthan cabinet have written to Sonia Gandhi today, offering to resign as ministers. They have also expressed their desire to work for the party.” , Mr. Maken said.
Mr. Maken said, “The Congress Party respects them. We are happy that there are promising people who want to work for the party.”
Mr. Dotasra is currently the state speaker of the National Assembly while Sharma was recently appointed by the party as the curator of Gujarat and Harish Chaudhary as the curator of Punjab.
Two days ago, Mr. Gehlot said that the restructuring of the cabinet would take place soon.
Currently, there are 21 members in the State Cabinet, including the Minister.
The number of MLAs in the state is 200, whereby the Cabinet can have up to 30 members.
