If you find yourself feeling distracted, overwhelmed, tired, or all of the above before you even get out of bed, you’re not alone. And luckily, there are a few ways to help focus throughout the day.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, health coach Koya Webb—who regularly works with Diddy, Ashley Judd and other famous people—share three techniques to start your day on the right foot.
“The first thing that I do and recommend to my community is breathing practice,” says Koya. “You might think, ‘I’m breathing,’ but no, it’s really focused on 10 deep breaths through the nose and out through the mouth.”
The yoga instructor explains why there are benefits to breathing exercises in the morning.
“Some of us wake up with alarm clocks, we wake up with anxiety, we wake up with our cell phones,” she notes. “Ten deep breaths in the morning will help you feel calm and focused.”
