Here are 5 health benefits of overnight oats:
1. Helps relieve constipation:
Oats contain a lot of good fiber that helps support bowel movements. It makes it easy to pass through the colon easily due to its softness and bulkiness eliminating any signs of constipation.
2. Road level stabilization:
The high fiber and complex carbohydrates slow down the conversion of this whole food into simple sugars. Besides, beta-glucan slows down the drop in blood sugar before meals and slows the rise after meals.
3. Keep your Hunger Hormones happy throughout the day:
Oatmeal suppresses appetite, increases satiety and reduces energy intake. The physicochemical properties of beta-glucan and the adequate hydration of oats are important factors influencing satiety and subsequent energy intake.
4. Keep your hair healthy:
Oats are enriched with saponins, beta-glucans and proteins. All three make for an unbeatable combination that helps support hair growth. Saponins act as a scalp cleanser and beta-glucan aids in moisture retention.
5. Hormone Balance:
Oats are a gluten-free whole grain and are packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Best of all, they’ve been shown to support insulin sensitivity, an important factor for hormone balance.
