6.6 magnitude earthquake strikes China’s Qinghai province
Beijing:
A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck China’s far northwest Qinghai province early Saturday, the United States Geological Survey said.
The epicenter of the quake struck at around 1:45 a.m. (1745 GMT) at a depth of 10 kilometers (six miles), about 140 kilometers northwest of Tay Ninh city, US seismologists said.
