Flexispot EN1 is Our favorite budget standing deskand it usually sells for around $300, but it’s on sale now on Amazon and you can get an extra $20 off if you clip the coupon on the page for a total of $210 (for the model 40 X 24 inches). If you want a bigger desktop, EN1 48 inches x 30 inches also on sale for $250 after you clip the coupon on the page. The Flexispot EN1 can carry up to 154 pounds, giving you enough capacity and space for your monitor (on a stand or mount), a keyboard, a lamp, and any other desk accessories you need. The electric motor allows you to raise the table to a standing height or lower it back to a sitting position with little effort—the table can be adjusted anywhere from 28 inches to 48 inches off the ground. It’s neither too loud nor too slow when the engine is running. There are three presets so you can save your favorite heights instead of having to constantly use the up and down arrows.
Where the Flexispot EN1 cuts costs to achieve this low price point is the desktop. It’s made of chipboard instead of bamboo like on more expensive standing desks. It doesn’t come cheap, though, and it’s been working pretty well after three years of use. Installation isn’t as smooth as we’d like, you may need to use a drill to attach some components to the display, and Flexispot doesn’t include one in the box.
We haven’t tested this yet, but it’s a bit bigger and much cheaper. On Amazon, you can clip the coupon on the page to bring the price down to $70. However, once you have added EC1 to your cart, you can enter the promo code 17D4ZZ6S at checkout for an extra $43. EC1 has a simpler up and down controller that doesn’t store as many height presets as the EN1. It still uses an electric motor to do the lifting, so as long as you don’t mind manual adjustments, it will do the job.
This deal is only available to Prime members. If you don’t have the space for a large motorized standing desk, consider Flexispot’s Adjustable Wheeled Table. Since the table legs are on one side, you can push it under the bed frame or couch for comfortable use while lounging. WIRED review editor Julian Chokkattu has been using one for almost a year with no problems. You adjust the height manually via the pedals on the underside of the desktop, and the wheels make it easy to move from room to room.
