Dominique Casimir promoted to Chief Content Officer at BMG, taking on responsibility for UK repertoire
Dominique Casimir has joined the board – and set of C – of Bertelsmann-owned BMG.
The Berlin-based CEO, who first joined BMG in 2008, was appointed the company’s Chief Content Officer (CCO).
Casimir moves up from his previous role as EVP Repertoire & Marketing for EU, APAC & LATAM, responsible for the repertoire (both published and recorded) in all international territories outside the US and UK.
In that role, she also has global responsibility for Corporate and Corporate Responsibility at BMG.
In his new role, Casimir will take on additional responsibility for the UK repertoire; Alistair NorburyRepertoire & Marketing UK President, will now report to Casimir.
Therefore, Casimir will be directly responsible for BMG’s repertoire activities in 16 international territories.
That number will increase to 17 in June, with the opening of BMG’s operations New office in Mexico City.
BMG’s US repertory teams will continue to report directly to the company’s CEO, Hartwig Masuch, as well as Casimir.
According to Bertelsmann’s 2021 annual resultssome 47.2% BMG’s revenue is generated in the territories that Casimir currently oversees (see below), the rest 52.8% Made in America.
The UK – as mentioned, Casimir will be responsible as CCO – has created 11.8% of the company’s total global revenue last year.

After a successful stint as Music Supervisor & International Coordinator SVP, Casimir was promoted to CEO of BMG GSA in late 2016.
She was then promoted to EVP Repertoire & Marketing Continental Europe in early 2019, adding Asia Pacific and Latin America by the end of 2020 and BMG’s global synchronous operation in 2021.
Under her leadership, BMG grew its European business by a third, expanded into live music in Germany and developed BMG’s first musical, Ku’damm 56.
Last month (April 2022), BMG announced that this summer, BMG will open a new Latin America center in Mexico, in a move also led by Casimir.Worldwide music business
