Xbox Series X/S Faster Boot Time
Xbox Insider testers have noticed faster boot times for their consoles, revealing recent Microsoft initiatives to get players into their games faster. Based on The Verge, the cold start time is currently estimated to be around 5 seconds. The secret to a faster time lies in a shorter animation.
Can confirm – worked with @harrishonhoffman and @jakerose27 to make the boot animation shorter (~4 seconds) from the initial boot animation (~9 seconds), which reduces the overall boot time.

The Director of Integrated Marketing at Xbox said (see above) worked with the lead product manager for connected TV apps, Harrison Hoffman, and the lead senior product manager Jake Rosenberg to “create the boot animation is shorter (~4 seconds) from the initial boot animation (~9 seconds), which reduces the overall boot time. “However, there is a downside. You’ll have to set your Series X/S to Power Saver mode to benefit from faster startup. This means that the console will completely power off when you decide to put the controller down and do something else. However, this is good for the environment and helps reduce the electricity bill.
Finally, the boot time is reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds. That might seem trivial at first, but we’re probably going to get to a point where the waiting time doesn’t exist.
