Britain to send more heavy rocket launchers to Ukraine
Britain will send more multiple launch missile systems (MLRSs) to Ukraine as part of the next military aid package, according to British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.
Britain will also supply a significant number of precision-guided M31A1 missiles that can hit targets up to 80 kilometers away, allowing Ukraine to continue to defend itself against Russian heavy artillery, Ben Wallace announced.
“This latest round of military support will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to continue to defend against Russian aggression and the indiscriminate use of long-range artillery,” said Wallace.

He also noted that Britain and the international community remain opposed to this illegal war and will stand by and provide defensive military aid to Ukraine to help it fend off Putin’s invasion.
The Ukrainian military has been trained in the UK on how to use the launchers so that they can maximize the effectiveness of the systems. This is in addition to the UK’s commitment to train up to 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers in infantry battlefield skills in the coming months. Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands have all announced their support for the program.
Building on this effort, the Secretary of Defense will co-host the Copenhagen Conference for Ukraine’s Nordic Defense Allies on Thursday 11 August to further discuss long-term support for Ukraine in terms of training, equipment and funds.
