New Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Gets a Demo
Developer Nioh Team Ninja has released a demo for the upcoming Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, allowing players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series to try out the new game soon.
Pubkisher Koei Tecmo announced the news during the Tokyo Game Show, and industry insider Nibel (below) confirmed that the demo is now available for download worldwide.
While the full game will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the demo is limited to two next-gen consoles.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set in a darker version of China’s Three Kingdoms period and promises to be as challenging as other Souls games and especially Team Ninja’s two Nioh games. Producer Fumihiko Yasuda previously told IGN that “Wo Long is larger in scale than our previous games set in Japan, allowing us to present a darker and harsher world.
“The same can be said of the difficulty. Without a doubt, it will be an extremely challenging and demanding game, but we have come up with new ways to approach that difficulty.”
It was first announced in June at Xbox and Bethesda Game Gallery, with a new gameplay trailer in August shows more games in action. As such, the game appears to be quite far away, as evidenced by the demo released today and slated to be released in Q2 2023.
