Everything in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet looks messy and cumbersome
Reviews for Pokémon scarlet and Violetwith many reviewers noting that the Nintendo Switch obviously struggling to run the game correct. But that’s one thing to read about performance issues in the summary. It’s funnier to see how bad the character is models clip past each other in the game while wobbly frame rate.
Scenes start to disappear randomly when you throw a Pokéball
Pokéballs are powerful enough to digitize the Pokémon inside their fist-sized capacity, but I didn’t know that they also had the ability to distort the space around them. Well, at least they did in this case and also caused the frame rate to spasm as if it were painful.
clips of people dying each other
Have a PDA, and then actually be inside each other while walking down the street. God, these two need a room. Or better rendering. One in two.
The sandwich doesn’t even go inside of her mouth
I’m not an expert, but I’m fairly certain that a sandwich is supposed to go inside and not beside your mouth when you eat one. I don’t ask for much out of a sandwich-eating animation. Yet Pokémon Scarlet and Violet managed to let me down anyway.
A trainer’s arms go through the…eye sockets?
Twitch streamer “Patterrz” sums it up best:
This is the correct way to ride a Koraidon. If you are not doing it in this way then you are not playing Pokémon Scarlet version and Violet version correctly. If your arms and your fists are not coming through your eyeballs, then you are riding a Koraidon in the incorrect manner. And you should probably fix that. [breaks down laughing]
The camera sometimes loses the player
There’s a lot to unpack in these videos, such as NPCs that randomly appear out of nowhere. Because that’s what happened to wild Pokémon in Legendary Pokemon: Arceus, I’m not too shocked about that. Same with terrible frame rates. What? do What surprised me was the second video, in which the camera tries to keep up with the player as they are riding Koraidon. And it doesn’t even go that Fast.
Schrödinger’s Pokémon
So these Pacirisu are definitely flashing in and out of existence. Oh, and your Koraidon motorcycle is stuck in the middle of some cargo.
Pokémon stuck in a wall
It’s good that shiny Pokémon have glitter animations, because some of them get stuck in the wall. (You’ll have to use your imagination a bit, but that’s Deino.)
The characters’ bodies stutter as they walk
So I have included this video for stuttering. But what really amazes me is how ugly this waterfall backdrop is. This is a backdrop you’d expect from a PlayStation 2, not a modern machine like the Nintendo Switch.
Pokéball makes the camera clamp to the ground
In this case, the pokéball somehow causes the camera to fly through the ground before it hits the wild Pokémon. Of course, as we’ve seen in the previous Pokéball footage, the frame rate is horribly dying too.
