Sony Music’s Santa Anna makes three exec appointments a month after launch
Santa Anna, a new record label founded by Sony Music Entertainment (SME) and Todd Moscowitz last month, announced three important appointments to strengthen its management team.
Dave Anderson was appointed General Manager, while Carlos “Los” Ogando was appointed Vice President of Advertising. The two will report to Moscowitz, the co-founder of Santa Anna and the founder and CEO of Alamo Records, the SME-owned company.
Anderson joins Santa Anna from Geffen Records and Warner record label, where he serves as Vice President of Commerce. In his new role, he will oversee Santa Anna’s growing digital, advertising and marketing teams.

Ogando also held positions at both Geffen and Warner Records before joining Santa Anna. As VP of Advertising, he will help Santa Anna create and execute her advertising strategy across multiple formats.
Santa Anna also appointed Derek Lee as CFO of the new record label, in addition to the role of CFO of Alamo. Lee has been with Alamo as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2022. From 2019 to 2022, he was Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Sony Music Entertainment.
Prior to that, Lee was SME’s SVP for Global Financial Planning & Analysis.
Lee first joined SME in 2007 and after nearly six years as the company’s senior director of Corporate Strategy and Vice President of Reporting, Analytics & Research, he left SME for a while. briefly in 2013 to pursue other roles in Univision Communications, Equinox and DKL Consulting.

The appointments come as Santa Anna aims to be the brand that helps artists “maximize their creative potential and build their businesses.”
New York-based Santa Anna is led by Lee L’Heureux, who also serves as President of Alamo Records, reporting to Moscowitz. Like Ogando and Anderson, L’Heureux also spends time in Popular music group-owned by Geffen Records.
SME and Moscowitz show Santa Anna about a year and a half after SME buy Alamo’s majority stake in a nine-figure deal.
Less than two weeks after the launch of Santa Anna, the company signed the contract distribution agreement with Los Angeles-based record label and management company LISTEN TO THE KIDS, a joint venture between CEO Conor Ambrose and Interscope Records owned by Universal Music Group.
And on Monday (January 30), Santa Anna launched a new record label with Alamo Records and Baroline Diaz, former Vice President of A&R at Interscope Records.
