After raising $34m, music funding platform beatBread names Advocacy Council including Mike Caren and more

Music sponsorship platform beatBread has launched its New Artist Advocacy Council.

Among the founding members are Mike Caren (Artist Partnerships), Dave Dederer (label owner and founding member of The President of the United States of America).

BeatBread’s $34 million launch of the Advocacy Council round beads in February led by Fintech-focused venture capital firm Deciens Capital.

Deciens Capital is joined by existing and new investors, including Afor Capital, Angel Ventures, IAG Capital Partners, Mucker Capital, Pandeavor Ventures, Octane Lending CEO Jason Guss, Pier Capital and Westrie Capital.

Since its launch in November 2020, beatBread claims to have made hundreds of advancements for artists and labels across genres, six continents, and a range of career stages.

Advances offered through beatBread range from $1,000 to $2 million per artist for a limited portion of existing catalog sales, with options also available for unplayed music onion.

UnitedMasters cooperate with the Utah-headquartered company last August, to offer eligible artists $1,000 to $1 million in advances.

Like Symphonic Distribution, Horus music and Indie Amplify also recently signed a deal with the company.

BeatBread says its technology tool ChordCash evaluates artists’ social and streaming data to generate offers in advance – when combined with a “streamlined” documentation and verification process. – resulting in prepayment to the artist’s bank account within a few days.

All advances are reimbursed from the artist’s share of streaming and broadcast revenue, for a period selected by the artist.

BeatBread says that its Artists Advocacy Council will meet regularly to provide feedback on new features planned for the beatBread platform.

They will also provide important advice to Co-Founders Peter Sinclair and John Haller as the business expands.
