Age Of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age Of Empires IV will be coming to Xbox next year
The Age of Empires series is coming to Xbox; well, at least some of them.
More specifically, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, the 2019 remake of the original 1999 Age of Empires II, is coming to Xbox on January 31, 2023, followed by the Age of Empires release. IV on Xbox later that year. This news comes alongside various Age of Empires related news announced today as part of the series’ 25th anniversary celebration.

Xbox, World’s Edge and Relic Entertainment have also revealed Age of Mythology Retold, a final installment of the Age of Empires spin-off series that was first released in 2002. Check out its reveal trailer below. :
“Age of Mythology Retold is in production,” the announcement read. “We know that the Age of Mythology community has been hoping for a Definitive Edition and we’ll distribute it. We’re working hard to bring you back the glory of the original game with its graphics, features, and gameplay. updated capabilities and more.”
This was followed by the reveal that Age of Empires is headed for mobile. Not much information has been revealed, but you can check out the teaser trailer for the game below:
