Aircraft Chief BC Breezers Saturday
Unmatched feeling Flight route (Tapit) headed a nationwide group of Breeders’ Cup workers on Saturday. The most favorite possibility for GI Breeders’ Cup Classic covered six fur pads at Santa Anita in 1:11.80 (1/3).
The flyway enters the main track via a 1/4 mile slide with John Sadler’s assistant Juan Leyva on board just before 6:35 a.m. Accompanied by a stable pony, he gallops under the rope and around clubhouse and was set down near a five-pole street.
From there, he clicks on the divisions: 23.60, :35.40, :47.80, and :59.40 on his way to the seven-feathered pole, where he stops the clock to take six stakes in 1 11:80 hours. Clocker Gary Young had ‘Rising star TDN’ gallop seven feathers in 1:24.80 and one mile in 1:38.60.

“Perfect,” said Sadler, who noted that Flightline will have its final production in Santa Anita next Saturday, October 22. “It’s another of his routines. He’s always been like that and we don’t want to do anything different from what we’ve been doing. As you have seen, he went six [furlongs] in: 12, over [seven-eighths] in: 24 and one mile in: 38 and three. Just a nice stable working model. “
He continued, “All is well. That’s him, that’s the way he works. He’ll have another one here and then he’s going to Keeneland after his next job. He will get a job there. “
The route is scheduled to be moved to Lexington a week from Sunday, October 23.
Among the many Breeders’ Cup hopefuls who stretched their legs at Keeneland on Saturday were:
- Hot Rod Charlie (Oxbow), last seen joining a controversial renewed GII Lukas Classic S. at Churchill October 1, featuring his first piece back in Keeneland on Saturday morning as he scores for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. Pupil Doug O’Neill hit a speed: 49.40 (47/80) under Tyler Gaffalione, who reunited with the $5.5 million earner for the first time since they finished second together in GI. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile 2020 at 94 -1 on the same strip. “It was a good, comfortable job,” Gaffalione said. “He went well in himself. I am very happy right now. He has a great mindset. ” The top driver from Kentucky added, “He’s matured a lot [since the Juvenile]. He’s bigger, stronger, and a lot more mature. Right now, it looks like he’s a complete package. “
- Rich Strike (Keen Ice), the GI Kentucky Derby upset player who lost to Hot Rod Charlie in Lukas despite relying on his opponent, also returned to work on Saturday. Chestnut, who can go in the Classic or wait for GI Clark S. on November 25 at his favorite track, Churchill Downs, went half a mile in Lexington Saturday in: 47.60 (4 /80) first thing in the morning. He galloped out 5 plates in a flat 1:00. “I don’t think I would be nervous just doing maintenance work,” admitted coach Eric Reed. “I was hoping for :48 or :49, but he made it too easy and as long as he doesn’t fight him, I’m fine with that. He’s handled the track well and whatever decision we make, he’ll be ready to run.” As to what will happen in that next race, Reed said, “The decision would have been easier if the Breeders’ Cup was in Churchill Downs and there was no Flyway. And not only Flightline, but also Life Is Good (Into Mischief) and Olympiad (Sightstown) and Epicenter (Not this time). “
- Leading air conditioner Chad Brown sent a number of workers to the Breeders’ Cup in Keeneland on Saturday, including ‘Rising Star’ Jack Christopher (MunningsGI Sprint or GI Dirt Mile, 1:00 {1/67}); Search Results (Flating, GI Distaff, 1:00.60 {5/67}); Good night olives (Ghostzapper, GI F/M Sprint, 1:00.60 {5/67}); and Blazing Sevens (Good magic, GI Juvenile,: 48.60, {21/80}). Jack Christopher’s job comes with Artorius (Arrogate), the stock-winning sophomore who is slated to compete at Perryville S. Finally GI hero Champagne S. Blazing Sevens worked alongside GII runner-up Pilgrim S. and colleagues ‘Rising star’ I’m busy (Cloud Computing), GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf pitcher. “Everything went well this morning,” Brown said. “All the horses have settled well.”
- Iowa-breeding undefeated Tyler tribe (Sharp Azteca) tested the pitch for the first time on Saturday, working three pads on the Keeneland lawn at a ratio of: 39.80 (1/1) before potentially starting at the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint. Dark Bay gelding won his five starts, all in Prairie Meadows, adding up to nearly 60 lengths. Kylee Jordan, Tyler Tribe’s regular racer, who lost his fault earlier this season, has come aboard to join the work. “Kylee is very comfortable around him,” coach Tim Martin speak. “I was a bit concerned that he was bobbing a bit, but he was trying to jump his hat [on the course that were set up near the outer rail]. Maybe he has a future as a diving athlete.” Martin said he wasn’t worried about the time lag at all: “He was always working at :38 or :39. If he went with another horse, he would take a bullet. I knew he was a fast horse and I knew he could run.”
