Al Qaeda Video demonstrates “The invisible hand behind the hijab”: Minister Karnataka
Bengali language:
Interior Minister Karnataka Araga Jnanendra on Wednesday said the video statement released by Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri was on the hijab and praised student Muskaan Khan for standing by the headscarf and chanting ‘Allah. -hu-Akbar’, demonstrating the involvement of the “unseen” hands” behind the row.
He said Interior Ministry and Police officials are monitoring developments and monitoring things related to this connection.
“We’ve said this from the start, and the Supreme Court has also ruled on the headscarf which has hinted at the possibility that there are some invisible hands behind the rows of headscarves… That’s proven, because the people of Al-Qaeda are now releasing the videos.” Mr. Jnaendra answered a question on Zawahiri praising Ms. Muskaan.
“How’s it going, what’s the connection. All these things are being looked at by the police… they’ll find out,” he added.
At the height of the hijab in February, Muskaan Khan, a BCom sophomore in Mandya, was admitted to university by a group of students wearing sequins and saffron shawls.
When they shouted “Jai Shri Ram”, Ms. Muskaan responded by shouting “Allah-hu-Akbar.” Then the university authorities intervened and brought the situation under control.
Condemning a terrorist group’s statement on internal affairs, Sun Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayn said, “action will be taken against the organizations and those connected with them”.
He said the state government has not made any laws against the activities of any community and is just following the law.
