Alfa Romeo unveils car for 2022
Alfa Romeo has revealed a new color that stands out above the traditional colors of Formula One for the new season.
Alfa Romeo’s C42 car made its debut this week during F1’s first pre-season test in black and white camouflage paint. On Sunday, it revealed its new look for next season.
Alfa’s car has been mostly white with hints of red since its return to F1 in 2019 but the team has flipped that over for next season, with a predominantly red car. Red now covers the front end, engine cover and Halo.
The company name is now written on the engine cover in a classic font.
Lewis Hamilton’s former teammate Valtteri Bottas will race for the Alfa Romeo spot this year alongside Chinese rookie Guanyu Zhou.
The team is looking to take a step forward this season under F1’s new rules after several years of concluding the competitive sequence.
However, Alfa Romeo and 2020 marker Haas have completed the first test significant reduction in mileage compared to the rest.
F1 has three more days of testing left in Bahrain from March 8 to 10, before the Bahrain Grand Prix opens the season on March 20.
