Lot 93 has the highest payout on Tuesdays | Goffs
A gelding by Camelot (GB) brought in its highest €300,000 in session on the first day of the Goffs Landrover Sale on Tuesday. Provided by Peter Nolan Bloodstock, lot 93, half-brother to the outstanding hurdler Grade 1 winner Altior (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}), purchased by Mags O’Toole. 3-year-old Bay is the son of G3 Hotel Brandon H. The heroine of Hurdle Monte Solaro (Ire) (Key of Luck).
One of 25 lots to make six numbers or better, gelding is followed by lot 229, a son of Not Risking at All (Fr) was sought after by Henrietta Knight for 195,000 euros from the manuscript of Moanmore Stables. In addition to double-winning diver Tangaspeed (Fr) (Vertical Speed {Fr}), bay is a half-brother with a pair of stake horses.
The other lot sold for €150,000 or more was a son of Blue Bresil (Fr), who caught the eye of Highflyer. Lot 211 was part of a Clonmult Farm shipment and earned €150,000. Under the second dam, who took 2nd place hurdles and finished third in the G1 Irish Grand Prix H. Chase, was the list winner and second G1 Bumper NH Flat Race champion American Mike ( Ire) (Mahler {GB}).
Tuesday’s trading had a high liquidation rate of 92% for 205 units sold from 224 units on offer. Total revenue was 11,054,000 euros, while the average rose 17% to 53,922 euros. The average is 46,000 €.
