American Freedom Moves to Arkansas
GSW & MGISP Free America (Pulpit–Gottcha Last, by Pleasant Tap) has been sold to Bob and Tyree Wolesensky’s Leadem Ranch and will be bred in Arkansas beginning the 2023 breeding season. Free America will require a stud fee of $3,500 LF.
He stood at Airdrie Stud for his first four seasons. The sale was supported by Brock Martin and Steve Castagnola of Taylor Made Sales Agents.
Tyree Wolesensky, President of Leadem Farms, said: “We wanted to find the perfect match for the Arkansas breeders and we were very pleased with this beautiful Pulpit pup. “Free America is a quality ground horse that gives breeders something to look forward to during the 2023 breeding season with its speed on the track and its brilliant appearance. We are excited to introduce him to our customers in the southern Thoroughbred market and can’t wait for him to start breeding mares on our Arkansas ranch next year.”
Coached by Bob Baffert for Gary and Mary West, Free America won the GIII Iowa Derby and placed second in both the GI Travers S. and the GI Haskell Invitational S.
