There are many gifts to be found on the self-proclaimed “video game whistle” Velvet Caveat’s TikTokalike rocket team gay and most recently an electric blue Gyrados puppet holding Ariana Grande’s part in “Rain on me” when performing lip sync.

“No, but Gyariana killed it,” Caveat wrote in the caption, perhaps emphasizing the oddity of watching a Water/Bay handle with sharp teeth, Ariana Grande’s vocals run effortlessly while she dressed up as an elegant nude Misty.

The puppet is a collaboration between friends, Caveat told me via email—Matti make heads and puppets, zigzag And Alex work on the body.

“It was inspired by Carmen Farala from Spanish Drag Race Who did it look at this amazing snake I love it,” she said. “I wanted to reinterpret it in my own way. Why is Misty not restricted by Gyarados? I even got Staryu earrings from my friend, Jewelry 1000! It’s an interesting interpretation that has never been done before, and it means that Gyariana (her name) can duet with me on “Rain On Me” for the end of the show. She even splashes water in the last chorus!”

A jaw-dropping Gyariana, to me, marks just another night for Caveat, who has been performing her video game-themed drag show SlayStation in London as of December 2021. The Gyrados show is part of the recent Pokemon-themed Master Ball.

About the establishment SlayStationCaveat says she “decided that I wanted to start my own show and space and thought, ‘Why not combine my two passions, video games and performing?'”

Be careful, transgender, never tried cosplay before starting SlayStationbut feels like “video games have always allowed me to express myself and my identity in a safe space, especially when I’m still figuring it out in the real world.”

“I really wanted to portray how important that is to me and so many others with this event,” she continued.

Video games form the rhinestone-affixed foundation for Caveat’s plans—even her name is have inspiration from Odin’s ball. And a little over a year old, SlayStation promoted a lot of drag video games, including gold cosplay top with ink colored false lashes, a charming Lopunnyand for Be careful, Bayonetta.

She told me, “As a 6’4 tall woman, I feel like I can really do her justice.

This event has been recognized through TikTok and through industry experts like Kim Chiwho competed in the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Raceand the British Drag race star Dakota Schifferboth attended SlayStationMaster Ball event.

But it’s not just fun to look at. it is also creating a vibrant and relaxed space for fans of exotic video games.

“Best show I’ve seen in a long time,” one Instagram commenter wrote on SlayStationpost highlight the importance of trans representation. “There’s so much love in the room, can’t wait for the next one.” They’ll just have to wait a little longer—yes One Doki Doki . Literature Club-themed events came in February, and Caveat told me she was planning “a meeting.” The Last Illusion show for a few months to celebrate new games.”

She should have had some more hilarious pictures and performances, she said. Come here storm Square Enix, bitch.
