Following the delay of ARC Raiders from 2022 to 2023, Embark Studios has now confirmed the game has undergone a transition from a PvP co-op game to a “PvvE survival mining shooter”.
Aleksander Grndal, executive producer of ARC Raiders, has Average.com to share the update for the game and also confirm that Sign up for a Closed Alpha trial will take place this summer is currently open on Steam.
When Embark delayed ARC Raiders, they said the delay not only allowed them to let the game reach its “maximum potential” but also allowed the team to add a new PvP mode to the game ahead of launch. As it turns out, the team was so happy to implement this new mode that the game went through a “fundamental” change that would move the ARC raid game genre into a whole new one.
“ARC Raiders transports players into a deadly yet beautiful futuristic world, with moments of survival and hair-raising suspense,” said Grøndal. “Man versus machine, man versus man, together or alone, and you versus your own sometimes contradictory nature, all against the breathtaking backdrop of a dotted landscape. haunting remnants of the past.
Then, Grøndal shared an excerpt from ARC Raiders lore, and it provided a little more context on how the game will play and what it means to move from a co-op PvE game to an “open shooter.” PvPvE survival exploit”.

ARC Raiders revealed at The Game Awards 2021 and the team behind the game includes ex-DICE developers with experience on Battlefield and Star Wars: Battlefront.
