The Arizona Coyotes signed forward Michael Carcone to extend a two-year one-way contract, the club announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Carcone, 27, won the John B. Sollenberger Trophy after leading the American Hockey League with 85 points (31 goals, 54 assists) in 65 games against the Tucson Roadrunners during the 2022–23 season. , setting a new club record for goals, assists, and points in the process. He was named AHL All-Star of the first team and played at the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic in Laval, Que.
The 5-foot-10 winger also appeared in nine games against the Coyotes in 2022–23, scoring one goal and one assist. He has been slated to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Carcone most recently capped Team Canada at the 2023 IIHF World Championships in Finland and Latvia, scoring three goals in six games on his way to his first gold medal in the international tournament.
According to CapFriendly, Carcone’s new deal with Coyotes brings a cap of $775,000.
The Vancouver Canucks originally signed with Carcone as an unbuilt freelance agent from QMJHL’s Drummondville Voltigeurs in 2016. Ajax, Ont. the product spent three seasons with the Canucks AHL club before being transferred to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2018.
After brief terms with the Maple Leafs and Senators of Ottawa, Carcone was traded to the Nashville Predators in 2020. But with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL branch of the Predators) on hiatus, Nashville sent Carcone to the Roadrunners under loan form.
After a successful audition in Tucson, Carcone signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Coyotes in 2021. He eventually made his NHL debut against Arizona in the 2021–22 season, collecting six points ( four goals, two assists) in 21 games.
Through 30 career NHL games over the past two seasons with the Coyotes, Carcone has scored six goals and nine points. He added 123 goals and 267 points in 398 AHL competitions during his career with the Utica Comets, Toronto Marlies, Belleville and Tucson Senators.
