Tara Rush, Audi America Marketing Director, said the company is “delighted to gift Charlene” in a statement to CNN.
“It’s a season of dedication after all, and technical or not, we’re always looking forward to sharing a bit of magic and cheering on Audi!” Rush said in the statement.
“Wheel of Fortune” did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment.
The ruckus about Rubush’s loss was at least the second time this year that “Wheel of Fortune”‘s chances of winning were broken by technicality. In
April, a contestant used the word “and” in his last answer despite having answered the quiz correctly. Having said that, fans were very unhappy – but that contestant was later not awarded a car because of her troubles.
