Baaeed in good order for Royal Ascot
After his impressive performance in G1 Lockinge S. on Saturday, Shadwell’s Baaeed (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) has come out fresh and good from that effort, coach William Haggas announced. Now seven to seven, the three-time Group 1 winner is now booked for G1 Queen Anne S. at Royal Ascot in June.
“He seemed fine, he was very fresh,” Haggas said. “He is definitely a bit bright today so everything is great.
“You always have a race, there is no such thing as an easy Group 1, but he won pretty well, so it goes on and on. I just hope we can keep him healthy, that’s the most important thing right now.
“I haven’t really thought about Queen Anne going to be the first race of the meeting, but it could help eliminate it soon. [to calm the nerves]–Mind, it’s going to be a long week if that doesn’t go right. ”
