Bengaluru teenagers missing, parents suspected of being influenced by online Shamanism

In Bengaluru, helpless parents reached out to the public on the Twitter microblogging site to help find their young daughter who went missing on October 31. Two months have passed; Police are still looking for clues and call it a complicated case. On October 31, 17-year-old Anushka left her home in Bengaluru with two sets of clothes and 2,500 rupees in cash. Two months later, her parents are living a nightmare as they still don’t know where their only daughter is.
“She’s been avoiding us. Everyone. We know she loves us. For sure, she’ll come back to us,” her mother said.
Anushka is an ordinary teenager but her parents first noticed the change in her behavior in September. She became a recluse.
Abhishek, the girl’s father, said: “I took her to see a counselor. The behavioral changes we saw was that she stopped talking to us, she lived a closed, limited life. participate in family activities”.
Anushka’s parents suspect that she was heavily influenced by reading online about shamans, an ancient healing tradition believed to be able to connect with the spirit world.
“It seems someone has influenced her. She is a minor. She may not be in a position to make her own judgmental decisions. She told me she wanted to be religious. teacher,” her father added.
Anushka was in 12th grade and was influenced by spiritual life coaches and psychedelic educators like Sahara Rose and Kamya Buch. She is said to have talked to her parents about wanting to practice Taoism.
Bengaluru police say there are no CCTV cameras where the boy is believed to have fallen. They are probing her online activity.
Vinayak Patil, Deputy Commissioner of North Bengaluru Police said, “We have analyzed her movements through CCTV cameras. have contacted anyone. We are looking at a huge database. about CCTV.”
The parents have now launched a public appeal to help find their daughter.
