Best-selling hybrid car in Australia in 2022
The 2022 best-selling hybrid list, excluding plug-in hybrids, is dominated by Toyota.
The Japanese brand accounts for nearly 90% of all hybrid vehicle sales in the country.
The total number of hybrid vehicles sold in 2022 is 81,673 units (of which 72,814 belong to Toyota), with the top seven hybrids all bearing the Toyota badge.
Number eight is LexusNXwith a non-Toyota Motor Corporation best-selling product being GWM Haval H6 with sales of 1194. The top 10 finish is Kia Niro with 1153 sales.
More than twice as many standard hybrids were sold as fully electric car (33,416) and overwhelms 5937 plug-in hybrid sold.
