There’s nothing worse than waking up with a hangover. Especially when it’s just a drink or two. Seriously, tell me what’s worse.
Yes, I have one Precautions… But first, let’s set the context:
You’re there at 6 p.m., pouring yourself a glass of chilled rosé while you brew some thin cauliflower & avocado. You’re enjoying the wine so you pour yourself another drink, then you go to bed around 10 and wake up with a headache. Like the psychopath I’m having to investigate why I wake up with a headache over a drink or two. Like, this is not okay.
Sidenote: anyone else inspired by Julia Haart’s Wine Glasses in My Unorthodox Life? It’s exciting to sip an Italian red from it when the baby is out.
I’ve tried so many different wines from all over the world, and I feel like I’ve finally figured it out: a lot of companies add crap to their wines. This means additives, flavorings, colors, flavor alterations, sulfites & SUGAR. It’s correct. more. Street. in. yours. Alcohol. So it’s no surprise that after two drinks you wake up with a headache because it’s basically like you’ve had two Snickers bars. It’s disgusting when we buy a bottle of wine from Italy and think there’s no added sugar when in fact there are 40 grams.
Anyway, as you know, a while ago, my friend Katie, The Wellness Mama was above audio file & she told me all about the company called Dry farm wine. The reason I care IMMEDIATELY is because they deliver to my door every month – you know, I love door-to-door delivery. In addition, you can guarantee their wines:
♡ is natural, sustainable and biological.
♡ is raised & made by making traditional wine.
♡ No chemical additives to create fragrance, color, flavor or enhance texture.
♡ no or minimal filter/filter.
♡ no or minimal addition of SO2 (sulfite).

To take it a step further, I researched and learned about how specific they are in their wine selection and that they only buy authentic, natural wines.
THEN I TOO THIS ONE TIME…. & spoke on the phone with the owner. They taught me about their wine, which is the low alcohol percentage and why so much sugar and sulfites are added to other wines. I told them I love red Italian wines, love pastel pinks, and so they sent me some to try. They just get it.
It’s time to experiment – always wanted to be a human guinea pig for you. I have DOUBLE LENSES, Tuscan red, eat as usual, and go to bed.
The next morning, nothing. Not even a slight headache. I didn’t even gain amount of water. So I decided to let my sister Mimi and my best friend Westin try it (no bragging intended but Westin knows his bad when it comes to alcohol and Mimi loves her wine, because so they’re the perfect people to try).
Both say… .. NO CONVERT.
Some more interesting facts about Dry farm wine:
♡ they use a certified independent ethnographer to test all wines so they can make sure the wine has NO SUGAR (thank goodness).
♡ they make sure every wine meets strict health and purity standards (we don’t want a lot of junk in our wine that doesn’t have to be there).
♡ they work with small family farmers to provide wines that are naturally grown and created.
♡ they support small, organic, natural growers with fair trade pricing.
♡ they verified lower alcohol and sulfite concentrations.
I mean a lower alcohol content in a minute… taking a sip of brandy is not the same as enjoying a glass of wine. Drinking a drink with a lower alcohol content gives your liver time to process the alcohol and doesn’t overwhelm it. Drinking alcohol in moderation can be very beneficial (less stress, lower inflammation, lower risk of stroke & dementia), but in excess it can be deadly and actually bad for the brain yours.
Nice to know that Dry farm wine Never source alcohol with more than 12.5% alcohol so you can really enjoy an evening glass of wine without going too far, you know?
Not many companies seem to be able to make similar claims. & not only that, i also feel that not many owners care about these owners care. Getting on the phone with them to hear their full story is exciting and you can tell it’s their passion and skill to bring quality wine to customers everywhere.
