Beverly Park tries to win for the ninth time in a row
Norman “Lynn” and Lola Cash’s former $12,500 claim Beverly Park will be trying for a ninth straight win on November 21 in a conditional allowance event at Churchill Downs.
Lynn and his wife, Lola, explode at the Kentucky circuit in 2021. Lynn earned her coach degree this year and entered November 18 with 134 starts and 25 wins. Along with participating in racing, Lynn is also very successful in the construction industry. He founded Wright Builders and Builders as a small home remodeling and construction company, which has expanded to serve several states around the country.
Lynn and Lola live in Midway, Ky., but their horses have gone to 10 races so far this year. Many of their horses run in Kentucky under the care of veteran horseman Jerry Dixson.
“(Beverly Park) is both a great horse to have in the stables,” Lynn said. “He’s been in great form and has been great for us since we announced him (at Belterra Park on August 5). It was an absolute thrill. “
Through Wednesday’s race at Churchill Downs, Cashes’ horses made 13 starts at the fall meeting with two wins. One of their wins was the $127,000 allowance race on November 11 when Beverly Park went 5 1/2. Another time was Wednesday when asked for $62,500 recently Sir Alfred James withhold late fees of Long Range Toddy to win the featured $148,000 bonus event.
Beverly Park is the only horse in North America with a perfect record from at least eight starts this year. The next tallest horse is the West Virginia-crossed Muad’dib, a 6v6. Greeley and Ben leads the nation in the number of wins this year with a record of 14-11-2-0.
Beverly Park drew card 11 during Sunday’s 6 1/2 highlight event. The successful 4-year-old son of Munnings will be ridden by John McKee and face 10 competitors in race 8 at 4:36 p.m. ET. First post is 1pm
Among Madeira Park Level 3 multi-stakes winners, Beverly Park is one of the mare’s six ponies. The only other starter is 5-year-old Hartel.
