Billie Eilish is headlining Fortnite Season 3
With the launch of Fortnite Festival, Epic's chart-topping Battle Royale rhythm game, musicians have more incentive than ever to add characters that look like them to the game. The latest of these artists is Billie Eilish, who announced her collaboration with the game on social media earlier today.
Eilish doesn't just add costumes to the game (like Eminem, for example), she's the next headliner for the Fortnite Festival main stage event, which kicks off tomorrow, April 23. The event includes a rotating set of songs for specifically for artists where players can compete for high scores as well as skins, unlockable songs, gear, and other cosmetics, although unlocking all of these requires buy the expensive V-Buck Festival Pass 1,800. The previous heads were Weekend And Lady Gaga.
Eilish recently made headlines for winning a Grammy, a Golden Globe and an Oscar for “What Was I Made For” from the movie Barbie, a task she has now completed twice. More recently, she announced her upcoming album Hit Me Hard And Soft, which may be her main marketing push for appearing in the game.
