Next generation BMW X2 The ‘SUV coupe’ was caught with slightly less camouflage at the front of the vehicle ahead of its debut alongside the electric iX2 later this year.
this special X2 the prototype seems to be the version known as the M35i which is more appealing due to the lower ride height, quad exhaust pipes and large cross-drilled brake discs.
The related X1 has also been tracked in the guise of what appears to be an M35i. It is not clear whether the new one X1 and the X2 M35i models will have more power than the upcoming X2 variant, which has 225 kW of power and 450 Nm of torque.
In terms of outputs, the new dual-motor all-wheel drive iX1 really outperforms the current X2 M35i. It generates 230kW and 494Nm, and offers a WLTP range of up to 440km.
Because there is less frontal camouflage on this prototype, we now have a clearer view of the grille with horizontal slats, as well as the large lower air intakes.
The new BMW X2 will be based on the same platform as the recently redesigned X1 and will adopt a silhouette that closely resembles the larger model. X4 And X6 ‘SUV coupe’.
Of course, the biggest changes are in the rear, with the X2 looking like a completely different creature behind the B-pillar. The jutting beltline in the C-pillar and the sloping rear window.
It also looks bigger than the current X2, which is no surprise given that the X1 has grown – it’s 53mm longer, 24mm wider and 44mm taller on a 22mm wheelbase.
Former spy photos showed a kinship with the X1, with the dashboard and center console being almost identical.

The BMW Curved Display is present, which has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system in one housing.
Like the latest X1 and 2 Series Active Tourer, the X2 also seems to have removed the iDrive controller.
The X2 can also get the new iDrive 9 operating system installed in the X1, which was released alongside iDrive 8.
Last year, the X2 was BMW’s best-selling SUV in Australia and one of its most affordable.
The company sold 628 units compared to 2425 of the more practical X1.
