Boxing Results: Shinard Bunch lost to Bryan Flores!


Via Ken Hisner: At Cache Creek Casino, Brooks, California, Friday on Sho Box the Next Generation Nedal Abuhumoud (Nedal Promotions), Paco Damian (Paco Presents), Joe DeGuardia (Star Boxing), Sampson Lewkowicz (Sampson Boxing) and Carlos Andres Tello ( Tello Box) featured in the Main Event Shinard Bunch scored a knockdown in the first round and didn’t do much after that losing to Bryan “Nino Maravilla” Flores to win the IBF USBA Ultralightweight belt over ten innings.

In the main event Shinard”Showtimes” Bunch, 20-1-1 (16), #140, in Trenton, NJ and Brooklyn, NY, Bryan “Nino Maravila” Flores, 23-0-1 (13), #136, in Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua, MEX, 10 laps, for the IBF USBA Super Light title.

In the first round, Flores was the busier of the two until the last seconds of the round when Bunch unleashed a five-punch combo that ended with a left hook to Flores’ chin and he was beaten by Referee Edward. Collantes scores 8. The bell rings.

In the second round, Bunch failed to capitalize on the knockdown but used an effective jab most of the time. Flores could have entered the round as the aggressor and was busier. In the third round, Bunch took down Flores, who was on the defensive and not busy.

In the fourth and fifth innings things slowed down as Flores could have overshot the rounds while Bunch used a good jab. In the sixth round, Flores defeated Bunch, who hadn’t done much since his first round knockdown.

In the seventh round, they clashed in the middle of the round. Flores continues to be the busier of the two. In the eighth and ninth rounds, Bunch held out a lot against Flores. The crowd tells them they want more action. Between rounds, Bunch coach Raul Rivas told him he needed to hit harder.

In the tenth and final round, Flores went on to beat a weary Bunch, who only took down the mouthpiece with a minute left.

Scores are 96-93 Bunch, 97-92 Flores and 95-94 Flores with 97-94 Flores from this writer.

Super Welter Jahyae “The Golden Child” Brown, 13-1 (9), #153.2, of Schenectady, NY, lost to Guido “GES” Emmanuel Schramm, 16-1-1 (9), #153.7, of Moreno, Bueno Aires , ARG, more than 10 rounds for sure.

In the first half, Schramm made a right landing that sent Brown into the rope where Referee Michael Margado could have scored. In the second round, Brown used an effective right-butt to Schramm’s chin with the fight mainly in the middle of the ring. In the third round, Schramm landed well to keep Brown on the defensive.

In the fourth and fifth innings, Schramm let Brown mostly go against the string even though Brown knew how to fight the string. In the sixth inning, Schramm continued to be the aggressor while Brown countered.

In the seventh inning, Schramm played better than Brown most of the time. Both have good top laners. In the eighth round, Brown seemed to slow down for Schramm to overtake him.

In the ninth inning, Schramm injured Brown with an overhand header that resulted in Brown taking a corner for the entire half. In the tenth and final round, Schramm continued to be the busier of the two and appeared to be the winner. The referee is Michael Margado.

Scores are 95-95, 98-92 and 97-93 as well as this writer.

Super Welter Raul Garcia, 12-0-1 (10), #155.8, of Santo Domingo, DR, tied with Robert “Tiger” Perry, 9-0-1 (3), #155.5, of Jersey City, NJ, out 8 dull rounds,

In the first two rounds, both boxers mainly used their stabs with little exchange and Garcia was the aggressor. In the third and fourth innings, Perry continued to be too defensive for Garcia to dictate any action despite missing too much with his right.

In the sixth round, Garcia made a left hook in the first minute to Perry’s chin. Slow speed with few punches sure to land. In the seventh inning, both continued to lack accuracy. In the 1/8 round and the final round, both were tired when they did not pass 6 rounds in the past. Garcia landed on the first set of combos and sent a left hook into Perry’s chin in the final seconds. Referee Edward Collantes.

Score 77-75 Garcia, 77-75 Perry and 76-76 and 77-75 Garcia here but neither of them deserved to win so a draw is fine.
