Via Chris Williams: Tim Bradley says he sees a bleak future for Top Rated boxer Edgar Berlanga unless he makes significant improvements to his game after his disastrous performance on Saturday night before Steve Rolls.
Bradley sees Berlanga’s situation as dire, saying he needs to improve his game immediately to avoid falling victim to some of the Top Rated contenders going up against him.
Bradley mentioned Jesse Hart as a fighter he believes is capable of beating Berlanga, and that guy is no longer the right fit.
If Hart can beat Berlanga, it could be said that his career is on the verge of extinction.
Berlanga won the Rolls-Royce match by unanimous decision in the 10th half with the score: 97-93, 97-93, 96-94. Chris Williams had it for Rolls 97-93. He looks like the better boxer by far in the last six years.
Highly rated super-middleweight contender Berlanga (19-0, 16 KOs) looked fearsome as he labored for a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Gennadiy Golovkin’s knockout victim Rolls ( 21-2, 12 KO) during the main event on ESPN at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Berlanga looked like he’d lost his nerve to enter the fight after eating a big right hand from the 37-year-old Rolls in the fourth round.
It was the first moment in the fight that Berlanga realized that Rolls had too much power in his right hand for him to aggressively fight in the way he needed to impress his fans.
It was predictable that Berlanga would quickly lose the will to fight. He struggled very strongly in his previous match against Marcelo Coceres last October, especially in the championship round when he played poorly against the Argentinian.

Coceres didn’t have the kind of power that Rolls possessed, but he dropped Berlanga in season nine and left him ready for action in season ten.
Furthermore, if you see the right hand Rolls is slapping Golovkin’s chin in their fight in 2019, you foresee Berlanga’s bravery disappearing in an instant.
Berlanga must do better
“The main event, you have to understand that. Main event and you’re in this arena and all the Puerto Rican fans have come to see you,” Tim Bradley told Fighthype about Edgar Berlanga’s lackluster performance against Steve Rolls.
“No, he didn’t win the knockout, but he didn’t achieve anything really important. Some pictures. Come on, buddy. You have to get better than that,Bradley talks about Berlanga.
“You have to convince the fans that you will be next. You can’t just talk about it. You have to about it. Edgar needs to understand that he needs to take what he did in the gym and carry it under this bright light because I heard he’s teared up a lot of boys in the gym. sex.
“I heard he looks great in the gym, but when he is under these bright lights, he becomes a deer under the headlights. You’ve got three coaches in the corner,” Bradley said.
I wouldn’t say that Berlanga is getting great exercise. If you’ve seen the leaked mind game footage of Berlaga being badly hurt by a lower middleweight Erickson Lubin, You won’t agree with Bradley that he looks “great” in the gym.
When a 168-pound person is lit up by a 154-pound person, it’s a sign that things aren’t going too well in the gym.
At this point, it’s pretty obvious that Top ranking needs to motivate Berlanga to make money Fight as fast as you can for money before his career turns to meteor dust.
The path that Berlanga is on, he will soon lose, very soon. He would have lost last night to Rolls, if not for the generous scoring of the referees.

Apparently they gave Rolls bullets pointing at him moving forward and not landing anything for having eaten jabs and right hands the entire second half of the fight from Rolls.
Bradley Says Berlanga Looks “Confused”
“I don’t know if they’re the same age, and you’ve seen a guy [Berlanga], I don’t want to say ‘shy’ but he looks confused. He’s not sure how to beat. He has no identity tonight. Usually, he’s a belligerent guy, he moves forward, he swings, he goes back and he wants to combine that action,” Bradley said.
Well, Berlanga looked “shy” and arrogant to Chris Williams, especially in the second half of the competition after Rolls gave him a taste of his powers.
Top Rank made the mistake of not realizing the difficulty of Rolls when they made this fight.
He hit harder than Berlanga’s eventual opponent, Marcelo Esteban Coceres, who brought him to the deck in the ninth round last October. For Berlanga’s fighting style to work, he needs a chin and he doesn’t have one.
That’s why last night Berlanga walked on eggshells because he was obviously worried that Rolls would break his egg, and put him down to count.
“He doesn’t seem to be that guy, he doesn’t seem to be the killer tonight. Dude, 37 years old has risen to average, are you kidding me? ” Bradley said when asked if part of Berlanga’s problem was Steve Rolls’ talent.
“The biggest problem was with Berlanga. He is still young. Should I write to him? No, but from what I see. Edgar needs to go back and sit down with his team and they all need to be on the same page.
Bradley said of Berlanga: “If he doesn’t, 24 years old, the future is not bright for him. “One more thing. Did you see him eat his hand?
“Did you see him getting hit from right hand to right hand? Now a seasoned smart fighter will see that and will take advantage of that,” Bradley said of how Berlanga ate the right arm from Rolls during the fight.
“Edgar’s inside game isn’t that great either. His mid range is good, but inside, you tie him up, he doesn’t know what to do.
“There are so many things I can share with you [about Berlanga’s flaws]but I’ll leave it at that because I’m not his coach.
“I’m open to getting involved and helping,” Bradley said as he volunteered to coach Berlanga. “If any boxer wants to talk, contact me.
“If you’re important enough, get it from ESPN, Top Rank or whoever. I don’t give my number to anyone,” Bradley said.
