The international event kicked off their “Permission to Dance” tour Saturday at SoFi Stadium.

The group held a press conference on Sunday, attended by CNN, and the Korean stars said they were happy to return to performing live after delays due to the pandemic.
“I’m so glad we’re having this live concert for the first time in two years. Obviously in the last two years, ‘normal’ and ‘normal’ are no longer normal, so it’s very sad. and hard times for everyone,” said V.
Suga added that when he was on stage the day before, he asked himself, “Is this really reality or is this a dream?”
Jimin said that the Covid-19 pandemic made it difficult for the group and they tried to incorporate that into their music.
“We felt helpless, depressed. We tried to get out of that by doing what we could, releasing the songs ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Butter’, the albums ‘Be’ and ‘Permission to Dance’. . “Again, do what you can and try to figure out how to get out of this situation,” said Jimin. “We worked hard because we wanted to bring healing and comfort to others who are also going through difficult times and who are also going through these challenges.”
“The fact that we get so much love for the songs we’ve made gives us a lot of energy and we hope we can pass on the positive energy we’ve been giving. received for doing these concerts,” Jungkook said.
The group was recently nominated for a Grammy Award for best pop group or duo performance, which Jin said would be an “honor” if they won at the ceremony in January.
“We haven’t won a Grammy yet, and it would be an honor if we could win one,” he said.
The group’s worldwide recognition increased in 2018 with the albums “Love Yourself: Answer” and “Love Yourself: Tear.” Their successful collaboration with Coldplay is one of many – they’ve also scored success with artists like Halsey, Ed Sheeran, Nicki Minaj and Fall Out Boy.
As for how the group stays strong despite their massive success?
“We don’t try to set our standards to define success because if you set those standards, it will be physically and mentally exhausting to achieve those goals,” says J. – Hope said. “Instead, just do our best with what we do in our lives and feelings and be honest with that. And this ultimately leads to a lot of success. That’s what I’m trying to do. And by doing that, try to be true to yourself.”
