Via Chris Williams: Terence Crawford says his “intentions” to fight Errol Spence Jr remain the same as before he abruptly left negotiations to fight David Avanesyan on December 10.
Crawford wants to take on IBF/WBA/WBC welterweight champion Spence (28-0.22 KOs) after he finishes his match against 6th place WBO Avanesyan on BLK Prime PPV.
The question remains whether Spence will choose to restart negotiations with Crawford because how can he trust him after the way he left without warning?
Crawford didn’t say anything about him negotiating with Avanesyan to fight on BLK Prime.
If Spence is the type to hold a grudge, it’s likely he’ll ignore Crawford and never try to negotiate with him again. That would be the best thing Spence should do because the last thing he needs is an extra piece of cake in his face, wasting time trying to negotiate with Crawford.
With all the time Spence spent negotiating with Crawford, he could have fought Jaron Ennis, Keith Thurman and Vergil Ortiz Jr.
What if Spence chose to revisit the negotiations with Crawford and he did the same thing and then went public with his dirty clothes by posting on social media, reporting on what happened. ?
Spence would be silly for giving Crawford a second chance. I know Spence said something about spinning the block, but if he does, he needs to go back and fight Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis rather than Crawford.
At the very least, Crawford can inform Spence, Stephen Espinoza & Al Haymon that he won’t stop negotiating and fighting Avanesyan instead.

“Let him rotate the block so I can drop him where he is,Crawford said.
It would have been better if Spence had gone the other way and let Crawford do his thing at 147, defending against the young killers, Boots Ennis and Vergil Ortiz.
