Activision Blizzard announced Call of Duty: Next, a live stream event that includes information about Call of Duty: Warzone 2, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone on mobile devices. The rollout will air on September 15, and the public beta for Modern Warfare 2 will follow.
Announced on Call of Duty blog, Activision Blizzard calls Next “an era-defining franchise event that showcases the immediate future of Call of Duty.” No specific time has been announced at the time of writing.
The event will include:
- Information about Modern Warfare 2
- Information about Call of Duty: Warzone 2
- Information about the mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone
- Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer revealed
- Live streamers play games
- Unannounced information “and surprises”
The event will be followed by two sets of open betas for Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer mode. The first episode, September 16-20 will be exclusive to PlayStation, while the second episode (May 22-26). 9) will take place on all platforms, with cross-play.

After a lot of rumors, we have finally confirmed that Infinity Ward will be working on a sequel to the Modern Warfare spinoff series rebooted in 2019. Arrive on October 28, We got our first look at the game as part of E3, including Expansive campaign game.
A brand new version of Call of Duty: Warzone is announced earlier this year. It will be developed by Infinity Ward and will include a “brand new play space and a new sandbox mode.” It will also be developed on the new engine developed for Modern Warfare 2.
This could also be the last annual Call of Duty game, as it has been reported that the 2023 Call of Duty game will be released. Released in 2024 and that series may no longer be an annual franchise next Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. However, reports also show that Activision Blizzard is committed to keeping the next three Call of Duty games cross-platform.
