Season 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific has been delayed.
Originally set to land on February 1st, Season 2 will now begin in two weeks on February 14th. As for why, it allows Sledgehammer Games and the other teams behind Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific has more time to address the issues players are having on both those titles and Modern Warfare as well.
“We sense your frustration and hear you say it loud and clear,” a Call of Duty blog post Released today read. “So far, we have deployed a few days, but more work needs to be done. For this reason, we’ve decided to schedule the start of Season Two on Warzone Pacific and Vanguard to February 14. We will use this additional development time to deliver updates, including at least gameplay optimization, game balance (including weapon and equipment balance), to fix bugs and game stability, and ensure an overall level of perfection to improve the player experience across Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare. ”
Upcoming updates will feature quality-of-life improvements and adjustments to the core game loop, mechanics, and balance.
“In the future, you can expect to receive feedback from us more often on the state of Call of Duty play,” the blog reads. “Studios remain focused on continuously improving your game experience, and we greatly appreciate community feedback. More detailed and regular communication updates will be posted here and on the Call of Duty social channels. ”
As for when these updates the blog post refers to will arrive, no date has been mentioned although starting Season Two on February 14th is likely to be a big deal.
