Cambodia’s trade with RCEP members up 14.6% in Q1 2024
A report by the ministry said this accounted for 65.8% of the total trade volume worth $12.7 billion in the period from January to March this year.
Cambodia's trade with member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) was worth $8.36 billion in the first quarter of 2024—an increase of 14.6% year-on-year. The country's goods exports to RCEP countries were worth $2.69 billion in the first quarter, up 25.7% over the same period last year. Imports from RCEP members were worth $5.66 billion in the quarter – up 10% year-on-year.

The country's top five trading partners under the agreement are China, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Singapore, a global news agency reported.
The ministry found that despite rising protectionism and weakening global demand, RCEP has promoted regional trade and investment cooperation, bringing great benefits to all member countries.
