Chadwick Boseman Wins Relic Award If…?

“Black Panther“Chadwick Boseman star received a Creative Arts Emmy Award after performing his voice in the Disney+ series “What if…?” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chadwick Boseman’s wife Taylor Simone Ledward accepted the honor on his behalf during Saturday’s ceremony at the Microsoft Theater downtown here. It marked both the actor’s first win and his first Emmy nomination.
Chadwick Boseman, who plays Wakanda King T’Challa aka the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has won the award in the category of outstanding character voice acting in “What If… T’Challa Became a Star- Lord?” episode. The Star-Lord/Peter Quill character is played by Chris Pratt in the MCU.
Taylor Simone Ledward said that when she heard her husband was nominated for the award, she started thinking about everything that was going on in their lives while ailing Chadwick Boseman was filming the series.
“And what a wonderful, wonderfully linked moment when one of the last things he does will be more than just revisiting a figure so important to him and his career and to the world. , but it’s also about discovering something new, diving into a potentially new future – especially with all his talk about purpose and finding out why you’re here on the planet. at this very moment,” she said.

Chadwick Boseman died in 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer at the age of 43. Before that, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in “Ma Rainey’s” Black bottom”.
