After going head-to-head with Metroid in Season 1, the second season of Game Informer’s Video Gameography podcast will move on to one of the biggest shooter series in existence: Halo. This week, we take a look at the controversial Halo 5: Guardians, considered by many to be the most polarizing entry in the series.
Halo 5: Guardians launched on Xbox One on October 27, 2015 and is the story of two Spartans. The campaign tells a dual story centering on Master Chief and Jameson Locke, a soldier tasked with capturing Chief after he goes AWOL to retrieve an aggressive Cortana. Speaking of everyone’s favorite AI, her quest to conquer the galaxy places her as the main villain. Halo 5’s story didn’t reach fans around the world, and the game generally acted as an unintentional poster child of the Xbox One’s flawed philosophy in its early years. How can you ask?
