Chhoti Diwali puja 2022: Puja vidhi, samagri, rituals, do’s and don’ts
Diwali 2022: It’s the season of the festival. Diwali is near and everyone is waiting for the festival of lights. Every year, Diwali is celebrated with great grandeur and grandeur across the country. From cleaning the house to decorating every corner of it with lights, colors and lanterns, to shopping for Diwali for family and friends, people start to prepare in advance for the festive season. Diwali brings with it prosperity and happiness. Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, will be celebrated on October 24 this year. Puja vidhi:
Honored with several names such as Narak Chaudas, Roop Chaudas, Naraka Nivaran Chaturdashi and Bhoot Chaturdashi, it is believed that on this day the demon Narakasura was slain by Goddess Kali. This year, Chaturdashi Tithi will start at 06:03 PM on October 23 and will end at 05:27 PM on October 24.
Rituals:
On this day, Lord Krishna, Maa Kali, Yama and Hanuman are worshiped. It is believed that worshiping them will help wash away sins and become better people. For samagri, oil, flowers, sandalwood, coconut and prasad of sesame seeds, jaggery, flaked rice, buttermilk and sugar are offered to the gods and goddesses. Abhyang Snan is also very important on this day as it is believed that it can help people avoid Narak Darshan. People worship the god of death Yamaraj by chanting mantras and adding black sesame seeds to the water after bathing.
Do’s and Don’ts:
During Diwali, you should leave a lamp burning in the southeast corner of the house. Houses should be swept clean, well lit and lights should be lit during Diwali. Buying gold and silver can be done during this festival as it brings good luck and prosperity.
Practices such as lending or borrowing money, consuming non-vegetarian dishes or alcohol during festivals should be avoided. You should also avoid giving leather goods, items with sharp edges, and fragile items.
